PICO True North Organizing Network

The research phase of True North Organizing Network has begun in the Eureka area. Themes selected are: housing, immigration traditional environmental practices and abuse. Contact Pastor Kathryn for more information.

Food Donations
We seek to reach our 100 pound per month goal for each month. 

Drumm Stick Sundayevery third Sunday.  After worship you can purchase a $2 Drumstick (Ice Cream cone) and support Paul and Fabiola as they raise $10,000 support for their project in South Asia.

Mission Pennies
Our Mission Pennies offering for 2015 will help buy a latrine for a school in Nicaragua.

Women’s Shelter Dinner
We will bring dinner and devotions to the women and children at the Rescue Mission Shelter.  Call Sharon Warren if you can help 443-1625

Box Tops for Alice Birney Elementary School
We continue to collect box tops for Alice Birney School, so bring them to church with you!

First UMC is a member of the Salvation Army Community Referral Service, meaning that we provide gas vouchers and food to those individuals in need. 


April 9-16, 2016 -- House Building Trip to MEXICO with AMOR ministries.  2016 marked our 10th mission trip to northern Baja California to help build a home for a family in Mexico.  Volunteers traveled by car and camped in a secure campground that is operated by AMOR ministries. 

September 2015 - Weed CA helped with repairs from 2014 summer wildfire.

Alabama, Tornado Repair Mission -- Each year Eureka First UMC selects an area of the United States that has experienced extreme damage from a disaster.  For several years following Hurricane Katrina we worked with the United Methodist Recovery effort in Louisiana.  In 2012 we traveled to Northern Alabama to help the citizens of Phil Campbell rebuild after a tornado destroyed most of the homes in their small town.
