Monetary donations can be made in several different way that include one-time or recurring payments as electronic fund transfers (EFT) or credit card payments.
In addition, monetary donations may be made to either EFUMC's general operation fund or to one of our more specific funds listed below.
Contributions can also be made as a Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD) but you must be able to meet that necessary conditions (minimum age 73) of making such a contribution.
A Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD) can only be made by a person at least 73 years old who has a Required Minimum Distribution from a taxable IRA or 401k account. QCDs in aggregate represent non-taxable distributions if they total less than $105,000.
Such a QCD must be arranged through your 401k/IRA investment firm as a QCD. The check should be made out to Eureka First United Methodist Church.
The check representing this distribution can be delivered to the church in one of two ways:
1) Have the QCD mailed to your home address and then you bring it to church and drop it off, or
2) Have the QCD mailed directly to the church using the following address:
EFUMC

Eureka, CA 95501
These funds go to the overall operation of our Church.
These funds help support our Brunch on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
Help support UMCOR in their missions throughout the world.
We all have time or special talents. If things are a little tough financially, have you thought about donating your time or talents?
Maybe you're great with working in the garden?
Are you musically inclined???
How about something less physical and more cerebral?
