Eureka First United Methodist Church

Eureka First UMC is on a mission to:

We, as United Methodists, ground our faith in Holy Scripture, guided by ancient wisdom, informed by human reason, and tested in our personal experience of the living Christ.

We may not be a large church, but we possess a big heart, growing in grace, engaging in worship, forming small groups, and serving the poor and marginalized within our community.

At Eureka First UMC, we embrace our identity as a Christian fellowship without apology, while remaining open to various theological perspectives. Although we cherish the Bible, we approach it to foster conversation rather than to close it. You don't have to check your brain at the door—bring your questions along! While we don't have all the answers, we are committed to getting to know the One who does. We invite you to join us on this meaningful journey.

There are a few truths we never need to debate:

Every person is a child of God. God loves you, and we welcome you—regardless of the labels society has placed upon you.

No one is without the need of, or beyond the reach of God's grace—absolutely no one.

Grace is embodied in Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection make God real for us.

And it is the Holy Spirit who teaches us how to love and live, enabling us to make God real for others.

Recognizing that our own families may not always provide the support we seek, the church strives to be that family where God's grace can work through us. At Eureka First UMC, you will see children, youth, and adults actively engaged. Regardless of your age, you will find a place and purpose here. Many churches talk about family; we truly live it.

In life, we hold fast to two core duties: love God and love our neighbor. Beyond our weekly worship services, Bible studies, and small groups, we offer countless opportunities for hands-on, hearts-in mission and service both in Eureka and around the globe.
